A disproportionately large number of sperm in urine vs semen suggests retrograde ejaculation. Minimum initial testing should include Serum follicle-stimulating hormone FSH levels Testosterone levels If testosterone is low, serum luteinizing hormone LH and prolactin should also be measured. Men with abnormal spermatogenesis often have normal FSH levels, but any increase in FSH is a clear indication of abnormal spermatogenesis. Elevations in prolactin require evaluation for a tumor involving or impinging on the anterior pituitary or may indicate ingestion of various prescription or recreational drugs.
Abstract The measurement or evaluation and clinical significance of human sperm morphology has always been and still is a controversial aspect of the semen analysis for the determination of a male's fertility potential. In this review the background of the development of the evaluation criteria for sperm morphology will be discussed. Aspects of criticism on the strict criteria definition and use of the criteria for sperm morphology evaluation will be discussed as well as possible reasons for the decline in normal sperm morphology values and how we can compromise for this phenomenon resulting in the very low normal reference value as published in the WHO manual for the Examination and Processing of Human Semen. One of the possible solutions may be to give more attention to a limited number of abnormal sperm morphology categories and the inclusion of sperm morphology patterns. It is concluded in this review that if done correctly and with care and with strict application of existing guidelines as outlined in the WHO manual, sperm morphology measurement still has a very important role to play in the clinical evaluation of male fertility potential. One of the reasons may be due to the early approach to sperm morphology evaluation as there was no scientific basis on which early human sperm morphology evaluation methodology was based.
Most people will have the strong desire to conceive a child at some point during their lifetime. Understanding what defines normal fertility is crucial to helping a person, or couple, know when it is time to seek help. As a result, infertility has come to be defined as the inability to conceive within 12 months.
We offer a wide variety of laboratory techniques to help patients achieve success with assisted reproduction. The most common one is a long GnRH-Agonist Lupron protocol where the secretion of gonadotropin hormones is suppressed in order to prevent premature ovulation. Once optimal suppression is achieved, the next step is the recruitment of multiple follicles by daily injections of gonadotropins. Ultrasound imaging and hormone assessments are used to monitor follicular development.
What a cutie she was-even before she had been worked over (bust, face). Originally very innocent and sexy, but she got caught up in all that is bad with the porn industry and fell prey to the greed of others who took advantage of her. Sad. She had great photo shoots and great videos early on that are hard to find these days.
